In October 2025, Modexpress will start the expansion of its Gerstdijk warehouse in Helmond. The state-of-the-art facility, which was delivered in 2023 with a capacity of
40,000 m² and innovative technologies such as a pocket sorter system and automated packing machines, will be expanded by an additional 13.000 m², bringing the total capacity to 53,000 m².
More space for growth and flexibility
The expansion includes two new floors of 6,500 m² each. These will mainly be used to accommodate new customers, but also provide space for the growing inventories of our existing clients. In addition, the outbound process on the ground floor will be further optimised.
Pim van Rooij, Director E-Commerce at Modexpress: “With this expansion we are not only creating additional capacity, but also greater flexibility. It enables us to further develop our innovative processes and make them even more efficient. In this way, we can fully support our customers in realising their growth ambitions.”
Planning and partners
The expansion is being carried out in phases. By the end of November 2025, the first
6,500 m² will be operational, with full completion scheduled for December 2025.
The expansion and collaboration with partners are being overseen by Remie Bellemakers, Facilities Manager at Modexpress. For the construction, Modexpress is collaborating with several specialised partners:
