1.Modexpress has taken a sharp strategic direction over the past 18 months. What prompted this decision?

‘The fashion fulfilment industry is changing at lightning speed. Brands and retailers are placing increasing demands on flexibility, customisation, and speed. At the same time, we noticed that the outside world didn’t always have a clear picture of what we do and the range of solutions we offer. Despite all the knowledge and expertise, we have in-house. Our expertise and approach deserved a stronger spotlight. That’s why we have deliberately focused on positioning ourselves more clearly as the expert in fashion fulfilment. Not just as a logistics service provider, but as a strategic partner who thinks along with clients, offers proactive advice, and supports their growth.’

2.Customisation is a key priority at Modexpress. What makes this approach unique?

‘Every brand is different and has specific fulfilment requirements. At Modexpress, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all but we do believe in tailored solutions. Whether it’s large-scale e-commerce fulfilment, retail distribution, or specialised services for premium brands such as GOH (Garment on Hanger). At the same time, we are firm believers in cost-efficiency and a sustainable approach, using automated packing solutions, for example. Together, we look at the approach that best fits the client’s needs. Standardisation and customisation can reinforce one another when combined intelligently. That combination of flexibility and expertise is what makes the difference.’

3.Many clients have worked with Modexpress for years. What is the secret behind these long-term partnerships?

‘We don’t see ourselves as an external logistics party, but as an extension of our clients. That means we invest in relationships, think along with their challenges, and find solutions together. ‘Driving ambition together’ is not just our slogan, it’s at the heart of how we work. The dedication and flexibility of our team are at the heart of everything we do. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to fulfil our expert role in the market. We are proud of the culture we have built together: driven, open, and solution-oriented. That shines through in our partnerships with customers and suppliers, as well as in how we treat each other as colleagues.’

4.Innovation plays a major role at Modexpress. Which recent developments stand out?

‘One of our key milestones is the launch of our pocket sorter system this past March. This system enables us to process orders even faster and more efficiently which is essential in today’s fast-paced fashion market. Technology and automation are becoming increasingly important in fulfilment, and we continue to invest to stay ahead. For example, RFID is a technology where Modexpress has taken a pioneering role. It offers significant advantages across every step of the fulfilment process, and we’re implementing it for more and more customers.’

5.How do you see the future of Modexpress and the fashion fulfilment industry?

‘The industry continues to evolve, driven by technological innovations, sustainability, and changing consumer behaviour. On top of that, geopolitical developments, such as trade restrictions, rising global supply chain costs, and uncertainties in international markets, are putting extra pressure on the chain. This calls for resilience and adaptability. At Modexpress, we continue to respond to all these developments with client-focused and efficient solutions. We keep challenging ourselves to be more than just a logistics partner. We strive to be an expert that grows alongside its customers. In the coming years, we’ll stay focused on innovation, sustainability, and further strengthening our position in the market.’
